Good turnout for Brescia hosiery machinery events

Exhibitors at this week’s hosiery machinery events in Brescia, Northern Italy seem satisfied so far with both the number and the quality of visitors. Brescia is host to a total of four events this week - FIMAST (International Textile Machinery and Accessories Trade Show), Santoni’s Open House, Lonati’s Open House and sock machine manufacturer Rumi’s private show all of which opened yesterday and close Saturday lunchtime.

Just weeks after the closing of the Olympics, Nike has been granted an interim injunction against adidas for patent infringement by adidas’ adizero Primeknit shoe which it released in July on the eve of the London games. The patent or patents in question protect Nike’s revolutionary Flyknit shoe range which sport seamlessly knitted uppers produced on Stoll flat knitting machines.

Première Vision's Knitters Combine Fashion and Function

Fabrics for Autumn/Winter 2013/14 contrasted opulent surfaces and handles with compact density and functional technicity at the September 2012 edition of Première Vision Pluriel in Paris.

Visitor traffic was strong over the first two days of the fair, according to Phillipe Pasquet, CEO and editor-in-chief of Première Vision, calling the opening day “historic, ahead of expectations.” Exhibitors were also pleased with attendance at the fair; Bel Maille’s Stéphane Ziegler commented, “Traffic has been very good with our current customers. We were very happy to see several new customers, including more Americans.”

US Air Force to test Cleanshell CB
